For those OnePlus 8T owners, it's quite common to complain about the previous "dumpster fire" update called the OxygenOS 11.0.6.7 that had quite a backlash when it launched just last week. A recent update, which carries the new version 11.0.6.8 for both markets in India and North America as well as a more advanced 11.0.6.9 update in Europe claims to be able to thoroughly fix all of the bugs that were previously introduced in the update.
OnePlus 8T update: don't get 11.0.6.7
According to an article by AndroidPolice, this particular update will be able to virtually change a number of things that 11.0.6.7 did. It's now even still on the previous November 2020 security pitch. However, there is also one new bullet point. This says that the issue along with the media player that is pausing abnormally has finally been fixed.
This was reportedly the biggest issue that came along with the 11.0.6.7 and even the subsequent EU-market 11.0.6.8 update, which supposedly did not fix anything that the 11.0.6.7 previously had. However, since this is still a recent update it is still unclear as to whether or not the complete issue has actually been fixed.
Fixed OnePlus update with 11.0.6.9
One commenter that posted on the OnePlus forums actually stated that the video that was taken from his previous phone is now still freezing. It was also stated that there are just a few handful of replies towards this thread in total. As is usually the case with the OnePlus updates, the overall OTA is still being rolled out slowly along with a little broader rollout expected to come in just a few days.
Although the new update could fix the issue, it was reported that the previous update actually fixed an issue but added a new one. This was reported by AndroidHeadlines and it states that after fixing previous problems, users started to report broken audio and video playback. Unfortunately, it even seems like the entire device was actually affected. Any of the media files that were played or streamed through apps will reportedly experience some severe stutters.

OxygenOS update 11.0.6.8 didn't fix everything
Thankfully, OnePlus is usually aware when it comes to the particular glitches and issue that happen within the device. The OxygenOS version 11.0.6.8 is considered a hotfix which means that although it is not a permanent fix, it will still be most likely capable of fixing the existing problems within the device itself.
Unfortunately, it is now reported that the problems within the game still do exist. For those however that own a OnePlus 8T and have not even updated its last update, don't do it. For those that have update the device and are currently experiencing a lot of problems, the only hope now is to wait for OnePlus to update the whole OxygenOS.
