"WoW" servers are reportedly down as of recent and it seems players are reporting problems and about an hour ago, the official "World of Warcraft" Twitter account has also announced that Jarod Nandin has just passed away. He was then recognized for his kindness and passion in helping to shape the entire cosplay community to make it better. The account then extended "WoW's" sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and the fans of Jarod Nandin.

Is Blizzard down?

"WoW" servers down has been reported by both DownDetector and IsTheServerDown noting the recent reports from gamers. As of the moment, "WoW" on Twitter hasn't issued a statement regarding what is happening to the game and if the servers down is an isolated event or is generally down all over the world.

The following were problems reported by users on Down Detector:

  • According to @ctopher313, there are issues signing in and the game automatically disconnects before entry into the realm
  • @AntisdelJr said there is not much happening but there was an issue that is reportedly causing people not to sign in.
  • User @RoWarcraft noted his stream cuts down due to certain login issues.

There are other reports that say they are experiencing similar problems with logging/signing into the game

"World of Warcraft" is one of the most popular massively multiplayer online role-playing games or MMORPG that was released back in 2004 by no other than Blizzard Entertainment themselves. It is said to be the fourth game that was ever set in the whole "Warcraft" fantasy universe. The game series originally started with the title Warcraft: Orcs & Humans back in 1994 and has since then gained massive worldwide success.

Another interesting game that actually originated in "Warcraft" is "DoTa" which started as a map in one of their games "Warcraft III Frozen Throne". "DoTa" or "Defense of the Ancients" has since then started to become its own game and playing format by itself and is now under Valve which is another gaming development company. The popularity of its producer, Icefrog, has soared since then.

As of the moment, "DoTa" is considered as one of the games where players competitively compete for prices up to over millions of dollars. There has even been an increase in money being made surrounding this game from sponsors, people streaming the game, and competitions.

Blizzard WoW Server status

As of the moment, as the servers are down, gamers will have to wait for the official update either from the game itself or if the official "World of Warcraft" Twitter account would clarify what is happening. However, as of the moment, players will just have to wait and see as there is barely any material online that provides a guide as to how players can navigate through the systems being down.

It is also unknown as of the moment as to when the "WoW" servers will be fixed as the official status report has yet to be released pertaining to what has happened, what gamers can do, and what the company is doing to fix this issue. In the meantime, most gamers are still mourning the death of Jarod Nandin who recently died of COVID-19 according to a report by TMZ.

The most memorable thing that Jarod Nandin has done was re-creating the whole "World of Warcraft" characters and is known by fans as the South Park Guy. Jarod Nandin is also popularly known for his game name, NWBZPWNR.
