A new Vivo smartphone mysteriously appears in Geekbench benchmarking platform. Rumors claim that it is the manufacturer's device to have the latest Helio G80.
Gizmo China reported that the Geekbench's new listing suggests that the alleged device could be an upcoming mid-range smartphone. It also revealed that the new Vivo V2037 will run MediaTek's Helio G80 chipset.
The new SoC is mentioned with its MT6769V model number in the listing. Vivo's new device is expected to feature 4GB of RAM and to be preinstalled with Android 11 OS.
Vivo V2037's specs
A Twitter user under the name Abshivek Yadav posted the screenshots of Geekbench's listing. The tweet currently has 104 likes, 10 retweets, and 2 comments.
One of the commentators even asked for the release of other devices, specifically the Realme x7series. However, there are no reports yet stating the release date of the upcoming Vivo V2037.
On the other hand, the new device received a score of 1823 in the single-core test and received 5466 points in the multi-core test. Right now, many devices already launched their own devices powered by the new G80 chipset.
These include POCO, Realme, Infinix, Huawei, and Xiaomi. Although innovation is already done, this could be a great step for Vivo. When it comes to specs, the screenshot only showed that its identifier will be ARM implementer 65 architecture 8 variant 3 part 3338 revision 1.
The photo also revealed that it'll have one processor and eight cores, consisting of Cortex A75+Cortex A55 CPU cores. According to Tech Nave's latest report, Vivo V2037 will also have Mali-G52 GPU.
Vivo V2037's price and release date
Rumors stated that the new Vivo smartphone was already leaked earlier this December. The first speculation stated that it received a score of 1319 points for multi-core and 342 points for single-core.
On the other hand, other leaks suggest that the release date of Vivo V2037 might be unveiled in the upcoming CES 2021. As of the moment, there is no confirmation of how much will be the alleged device be. Since these are all rumors and speculations, it is advisable to wait for the actual announcement of Vivo.
