"Stardew Valley," one of the biggest simulation games of all time, has finally released the highly anticipated version 1.5 update, which brought tons of new content for new and long-time players, including a new location: Ginger Island.
How to Find Ginger Island
According to ScreenRant, Ginger Island is the biggest inclusion from the latest game update, which gives players a new place to explore filled with explosive volcanoes and discover several new plants--and of course, every "Stardew Valley" players will get to know a few new characters they will all learn to love in the coming days.
But, how do players find the new island?
Firstly, it's essential to download the latest update, and once version 1.5 is installed, the players will receive a letter from Willy the Fisherman, asking if you could visit him and help him with a task.
The task may sound fairly simple: you have to help the fisherman repair his boat.
This is essential as the boat will be your ticket to Ginger Island, but as simple as it may sound, you'll need quite a few items to fix the boat.
If you're not sure where to find Willy the Fisherman, go south of Pelican Town and head to the docks, then enter the backroom of the fishing shop in the area to start the task.
Requirements to Fix Willy the Fisherman's Boat
To complete the repair, you'll need to acquire the following items:
- 200 Hardwood: You can obtain these by cutting down Large Logs and Large Stumps in the forest.
- 5 Battery Packs: Go to the Skull Cavern and beat some Iridium Bats for the Battery Packs, or you can receive them as gifts.
- 5 Iridium Bars: You may acquire them when beating some Iridium Bats, or by smelting 5 Iridium Ore and 1 coal with a Furnace.
After acquiring all the required items, the boat will be fixed, allowing "Stardew Valley" fans to visit Ginger Island the very next day using the boat, but you'll only be able to board the boat starting at 8 AM and you need to spend 1000 gold for a trip.
Nevertheless, spending gold is definitely worth it since Ginger Island has tons of new things you can find.
More 'Stardew Valley' Version 1.5 Inclusions
Besides Ginger Island, the "Stardew Valley" version 1.5 update also brings a few more additions, such as the Beach Farm layout, which is one of the biggest inclusions in the game, as per GameRant, wherein players can find tons of foraging and fishing opportunities left and right, although it may not be the best layout to start with if you're a "Stardew Valley" newbie.
Moreover, rare items might be washed up ashore from time to time.
The update also brought new Advanced Gaming Options that will help long-time fans customize their gameplay, as well as the local split-screen co-op mode.
There are also tons of new goals, new items, a new type of quest, character events, plus you might notice that ducks can now swim and that you can now sit in chairs and move your bed around, and a bunch of other new features and stuff.
