Elon Musk recently tweeted about Frictionless AI and have asked its creators who published the article about the new technology on what could go wrong with that type of advancement. The Tesla CEO is known to appreciate innovations and commend the people behind them-however, this particular technology was asked with a filter of sarcasm.
The eccentric billionaire and CEO of various technology companies, Elon Musk, was expected to acknowledge inventions and advancements in the field because of his companies' many innovations in the industry. Musk was portraying a hint of sarcasm in his statement using a cliche saying in sci-fi movies right before things go south.
According to Elon Musk's Twitter page (@elonmusk), the CEO replied to a tweet by DeepMind who recently posted its achievements and AI development throughout the years since 2016, with the MuZero. The tech CEO addressed the technology as "Frictionless AI" and used the sci-fi movie keyphrase one-liner by a character which signifies a massive issue.
Funny as it seems, Elon Musk's sarcasm with the tweet has shown his concern and doubts with the new technology to be used by companies that would utilize the technology. Technology gone wrong maybe myths and mostly seen in science fiction movies today, but that is because the world is not yet on those levels of innovations.
Additionally, no one can say that there would be perfect technologies that will soon release to be used in everyday lives, so it makes perfect sense that a technology-oriented key person would doubt artificial intelligence. The AI technology has been a massive debate among the people with some agreeing and positive with the software, and others are against doubts and reservations. Moreover, these robots have violated their protocols to both against and partner up with the film's protagonist, Sarah Connor. However, another Twitter completely disagrees with Musk, saying that it would most likely "possess" Neuralink's cybernetic enhancement instead of going for "robot bodies."
