After the latest restock of Sony, Walmart, Best Buy, and other major retailers this week from Tuesday, December 15, to Wednesday, December 16, PlayStation 5 stocks are currently sold out yet again, reportedly just after half an hour of going live.
For those who were unable to snag the seemingly elusive console, when can you get it again?
PS5 Restocks Sony Direct
It appears that PS5 restocks are happening in waves over the week and a few days before Christmas, as according to TechRadar, Sony Direct has the PS5 stocks ready and they will be available through the store on weekdays, which means it's best to keep the website open so you can check it now and then.
To prevent scalpers and bots from purchasing limited PS5 stocks, Sony Direct has required consumers to use a paid PSN account.
Furthermore, the company has made a change when it comes to queueing for the item as they would randomly put consumers in the queue as long as they load the page earlier than the PS5 restock time, as per CNET.

PS5 Restocks on Walmart, Best Buy, Etc
Other major retailers that had restocks this week were Walmart and Best Buy, but as expected they sold out as soon as the restocks went live.
However, it seems like Walmart had been updating their stocks every ten minutes this Wednesday, so keep on checking on the site or with your PS5 restock bot for possible updates from the retailer.
It is also possible that Walmart will have more stocks for consumers soon.
According to ScreenRant, the retail giant thwarted 20 million bot orders from its November 25 restock sale, so the millions of consoles will likely go back in circulation, giving legitimate buyers a chance to grab the console.
Best Buy and Amazon had restocked last week, but there were no updates on whether they would restock the console this week or before Christmas time arrives.
As of writing, only Sony Direct has given consumers a glimmer of hope that restocks will be happening today, albeit unclear of what time it will go live, so keep checking on the website and their official Twitter account for updates.
Where to Buy a PS5
Despite no news on PS5 restocks, keep checking on these major retailers for possible restocks this week:
- Best Buy: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition
- Walmart: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition
- Amazon: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition
- Target: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition
- GameStop: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition
- Sam's Club: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition
- B&H Photo: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition
- Newegg: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition
- Adorama: PS5
- Costco: PS5
- Antonline: PS5
Most of these consoles are only available online unless specifically stated by the store, so as much as possible, avoid going out to a physical store in hopes of going out there with a console in hand.
Furthermore, avoid buying from scalpers as this can void the console's warranty.
The PlayStation 5 standard edition is available for $499 while the Digital Edition retails for $399.
