Samsung has just announced its next flagship phones, they are the Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and the S21 Ultra. All of these phones will be available on January 14 alongside new Samsung buds.
Samsung Galaxy new series
The site Android Police published three brief teaser videos that shows the new Samsung Galaxy S-series. The short video features what people can expect from the design, a sleek and streamlined new camera bump that perfectly blends into the sides of the phone, with three cameras on the S21 and S21 Plus while the S21 Ultra will get five cameras, including the periscope zoom lens.
The S21 Ultra will also have a curved screen instead of the flat panels on the S21 and the S21 Plus, and the names of all three phones would include 5G so there will be no confusion about which networks the phones will support.

Android Police reported in November that the S21 will be 6.2-inches, the S21 Plus will be 6.7-inches and the S21 Ultra will be 6.8-inches. Each of the phones will have 120Hz screens and Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 processors.
The S21 will have a 4,000mAh battery, the S21 Plus will have a 4,800mAh battery and the S21 Ultra will have a 5,000mAh battery.
However, the S21 Ultra will come with the brightest screen on a Samsung phone yet, as it will have 1,600 nits. It will also have an adaptive refresh rate that goes all the way down to 1Hz, and it will come with a S Pen stylus support while the S21 may have a plastic back instead of glass.
The S21 Ultra will have an improved 108MP camera sensor and two telephoto lenses, one lens will be 3x optical and one will be 10x optical, each with larger pixels to get more light than the previous zooms. But its main camera and ultrawide camera are suspected to use the same 12MP sensors across the whole lineup.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 may also ship without a charger or earbuds in the box, which would be similar to how Apple shipped its new phone just a few months ago.
There is still no update on how much the new Samsung Galaxy S series would cost.
Samsung Galaxy jumping from S10 to S20
Samsung was expected to follow a numerical sequence, so when they decided to break a series, people took notice. The Samsung Galaxy S series skipped naming it next batch as as Galaxy S11 and they went straight for Galaxy S20, which is now the company's flagship phone series.
The move puzzled the public, but it was later explained by Samsung that the 20 matches 2020, which is the start of the new decade, signaling new beginnings.
Samsung Galaxy S20 is the name chosen because the company wants to kick off the next ten years that matches the decade.
Samsung aims to be a pioneer of a mobile ecosystem that is powered by AI, 5G and IoT and the next ten years, the company's vision is to make new phone experiences that transcend boundaries between the physical and digital worlds.
