Smartphones are evolving along with technology, with Samsung rumored to launch a new Galaxy S21 security feature that would depend on Bixby's Voice Command to unlock the device for next year's phone. Doubts have surfaced during the early biometrics unlocking methods that began with 2011's Motorola Attrix and popularized by 2013's Apple iPhone 5s.
Unlocking smartphones differ from the common methods that were initially present with basic cellular phones that relied on passcodes, passwords, or pattern swipes. Fast forward several years later, Samsung's 2020 is surrounded by rumors that there would be a Bixby-enabled voice command to unlock its next-in-line smartphone, the Galaxy S21.
Samsung Galaxy S21: 2021 Release Rumors Bixby Voice Unlock
The yearly trend of upgrading models and smartphone line-up puts Samsung Galaxy S21 to follow after 2020's release of the Galaxy S20 in early February. The South Korean smartphone directly pars with Apple's iPhone 12, which was revealed last October 15.
Alongside Galaxy S21's launch would be the reconfiguration of Samsung's user-interface and artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, Bixby, which have various upgrades since its initial release in 2017. Rumors are now surrounding Bixby's next development to be more than an assistant when using the phone.
According to Sam Mobile, rumors surrounding Samsung's Galaxy S21 release would feature a new phone unlocking method that requires no fingers, face, or eyes. Accessing the phone would solely rely on a person's voice, and Bixby would be the primary agent in charge.

Bixby Voice AI: May Be Unlocking Galaxy S21 in 2021
The rumors that spread regarding Bixby's voice command unlock are all based on a massive "if" or the possibility that Samsung does not confirm or shed light. This feature is all based on speculations that would most likely face a hard time developing the technology.
This feature may mean that Bixby would need to record and study the user's voice to determine whether it is the owner of the S21. The feature is reportedly under the One UI 3.1 that is mostly reliant on Google's Android 11, also known as "Red Velvet Cake."
The new operating system would be Samsung Galaxy S21's native software as it would be complete by the time the new smartphone releases. According to 9 to 5 Google, the Red Velvet Cake's beta is now available for users to download and try for Android-enabled devices.
Samsung Galaxy S21: Bixby Voice Unlock is 'Weak' Security Type
According to XDA Developers, if Samsung pushes through with this type of security and unlocking method, it would most likely be categorized as a "weak" type among the different authentication procedures. Currently, Samsung's Galaxy S20 has face recognition and a hidden fingerprint scanner on the home button.
Samsung's Galaxy S21 would include all of the present security systems, including face recognition, fingerprint sensor, passcode & passwords, and pattern unlocks. Bixby's Voice Unlock recognition AI would most likely be an addition to the present systems and test its capabilities on the S21.
