Celebrating Thanksgiving using the Zoom video platform can be quite challenging, especially since the family member participants are not actually together.

According to APK Metro's latest report, Zoom is a pale substitute for an actual household-get together. This is actually true since the government has implemented many restrictions, especially on holidays, since the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing.

However, this could be a problem since there are some people that make you cry yearly. This means that those individuals will still make you cry during the family gathering, but it'll be online. There are also some problems you may encounter during the virtual gathering.

Here are some ways to handle your family on Zoom

Some family members or relatives may just annoy you. It's easy to just mute them whenever there are things they say that you don't like. However, this task should be given to the mother. She should be the one managing the mute button.

When it comes to conversation topics, of course, they'll mostly talk about what is happening in 2020. These include wearing face masks, sunken battleships, and any negative events that took place this year.

To lighten up the mood, you must change the course of the conversation into a lighter topic, such as a game, or talking about your previous travels when the lockdowns were not implemented yet.

During a virtual Thanksgiving celebration, there are also technical issues that you might encounter. USA Today reported that there are some instances that your Zoom meeting could crash during your conversation with the family members, relatives, and friends.
