Twitch is currently banning partnered streamers who are playing "Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity." The reason behind the ban is copyright infringement although the game is already legally released in some parts of the world.
According to Screen Rant's latest report, "Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity" will be fully released across the globe on Nov. 20. As of the moment, Nintendo Switch owners in Japan, Europe, and Australia were able to buy their own game copies.
The popular game is a spinoff of the "Dynasty Warriors" games and the second one in the "Hyrule Warriors" series. It also acts as a prequel of the famous "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."
However, although "Age of Calamity" still doesn't match BOTW's game mechanics, it still explains the events of the war against Calamity Ganon that happened 1000 years before "Breath of the Wild Fire."
'Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity' is for Zelda fans
If you are a Zelda fan, then "Age of Calamity" is the perfect game that can help you learn the full story of how Hyrule lost against Calamity Ganon. It will also show you what the kingdom looked like before it decayed and was destroyed 100 years ago.
Because of this, many streamers can't wait to try the game. However, some of them are already banned by Twitch.
"I just received a copyright takedown and my account is suspended for 48 Hours from streaming Age of Calamity despite it being out in Australia, Japan, part of Europe and all of Europe in 30 minutes? Holy shit what?" said CLG Linkus7, a streamer of CLGaming.
"BRO DID I JUST GET BANNED ON TWITCH FOR AGE OF CALAMITY?!" said REVERSAL, another popular streamer.
Twitch bans one of its most well-known streamers
Twitch is also banning its most popular streamers. The platform banned xQx, one of its most famous content creators, because of cheating.
The Next Web reported that Twitch gave a timeout to former Overwatch pro Felix "xQx" Lengyel after he was caught cheating in a "Fall Guys" tournament. The streamer was banned for the next six months and will not receive the prize money he won.
