Truck Stolen in UK Contains $6.6 Million Worth of Apple Products

While most of the criminal activity is now usually done online, a group of thieves were able to seize millions of dollars of Apple products by physically stealing a truck in the UK which contained a huge amount of said products. It was stated that almost seven million dollars in total worth of selected Apple products have recently been stolen from a particular truck over in the UK, according to the Northamptonshire Police reports.

Criminals steal Apple products

This is one of the very rare cases that Apple products have been physically stolen aside from those that were reportedly stolen during previous riots directed at Apple stores. This time, it was a truck that was reportedly stolen and the heist is said to be intentional and really thought of.

Both a truck driver as well as a security guard were simply transporting a huge number of different Apple devices in cargo before they were crossed by some thieves. The incident was said to take place at about 8pm on a Tuesday, November 10. The said incident allegedly happened on a particular slip road off of the M1 highway, where both the security guard and the driver were targeted then eventually tied up.

The heist was allegedly well planned

The heist was said to be planned quite carefully as the truck was actually driven to Crick located in Northamptonshire. This is where the said thieves then transferred the entire trailer to another awaiting truck. The thieves then reportedly left the original truck driver as well as the security guard behind tied up.

The truck was later on found somewhere in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, where it was actually believed that the thieves were able to transfer a complete total of 48 pallets of different Apple products into another vehicle as they escaped. Due to the given details of the investigation, the police concluded that the entire heist was intentional and that specific truck that was carrying the Apple products was targeted.

Northamptonshire Police on the lookout for suspicious Apple products for sale

The Northamptonshire Police are said to be now appealing for certain witnesses as well as individuals who have all been offered certain Apple products for sale in very unusual circumstances or even for some suspiciously low prices. This would be the best way for the police to get leads on the alleged thieves only if they were to sell the products in the area.

The story was reported by 9to5mac and although the details of the investigation are missing, knowing Apple. The company will still be able to find a way to track down the stolen Apple goods later on and eventually crack down the thieves. As for the local police force, should the thieves be selling the stolen goods in the same area, the string of evidence could eventually lead to the criminals getting caught later on. As of the moment, the leads regarding the looks of these thieves are still not sufficient.
