Elon Musk praises CureVac, Moderna, and other's technology-inclined efforts using synthetic mRNA for procuring a COVID-19 vaccine in his latest twitter posts. He's optimistic that these would be the future of medicine. The Tesla CEO is now feeling "okay" after fearing for the various false-positive and negative tests for the coronavirus in the past days.
The CEO recently partnered up with German biopharmaceutical company, CureVac, to procure an immunization shot against the SARS-CoV2 virus to be worked on in the under-construction Gigafactory Berlin. CureVac would use Tesla's facilities, technology, and resources to fast track the work in creating an mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccine.
Elon Musk Tweet: Curevac, Moderna, Pfizer, mRNA are the Future of Medicine
Elon Musk is racking up Twitter's newsfeed with the various tweets he published recently, addressing his fascination for the health and medical industry, particularly for the leaders in vaccine production. In a thread by Harvard Medical School's Immunologist, Michael Mina, (@michaelmina_lab), Musk agrees with what he said.
Mina was discussing mRNA vaccines and the leaders' efforts in procuring a shot that is currently around 90 percent effective. The leaders, Pfizer and Moderna's vaccine efforts are mentioned in the tweet, which is both known to use mRNA-based proteins as main agents against the coronavirus.
Here, Elon Musk (@elonmusk) replies by saying that it was a "Great Thread" and proceeds to include his opinion about the future of medicine with the novel mRNA technology. The use of the nucleic acid is regarded by Musk to be applicable as software and modeling problems under technological terms.
A Twitter user asks whether if this was something which CureVac does, to which Elon Musk confirms that it indeed is. The Tesla CEO made known the company's efforts and collaboration with the biopharmaceutical company to create a COVID-19 vaccine in Tesla's Giga Berlin.
Elon Musk responds by confirming CureVac's efforts in the mRNA-based vaccine, also recognizing Moderna's efforts in the race to create the COVID-19 vaccine. Musk adds that Tesla's technology would significantly accelerate the mRNA strand samples to "trillions."
Elon Musk: Feeling 'Okay' After COVID-19 Scare and False Positives
The Tesla CEO has immersed himself mostly in health-related terms and discussions in the past week after manifesting COVID-19 symptoms and taking PCR tests to know if he is infected with the virus. However, the tests Musk took were shooting up false positive and negative results that confused him.
