Tesla's plans in the UK
One reported reason as to why Tesla has not yet been as successful in the UK is due to the logistical complexity when it comes to shipping over cars manufactured in the US. With Tesla's upcoming Giga Berlin, the carmaker is hoping to be able to manufacture enough EVs to keep up with the growing demand.
One of the reasons for the UK's rapid and aggressive interest in electric vehicles is due to its decision to achieve complete electric vehicles by the year 2050. According to an article by caranddriver, the UK aims to completely end the sale of cars that are not electric vehicles by the year 2035.
According to the article, one of the biggest problems when it comes to electric vehicles is the lack of charging stations. Currently, there are only about over 10,000 charging stations scattered around the entire UK which is not enough to supply the demand for electric vehicles. With companies like Tesla extending its reach in the UK, the rise of more charging stations could be inevitable.
