As Google launched its two smart speakers, smart home lovers' questions arose on which one to go for. Is it the Nest audio packed with performance in a bigger size or the Nest Mini, Google-level features in a compact device?

Google Nest Audio vs Nest Mini: Similarities

According to CNET, Google launched both the Nest Audio and the Nest Mini packed with features that could come up with its predecessors. Both can be classified as good smart speakers, with quick response to commands.

Both the two Google smart speakers have better sound quality as compared to their predecessors. This is due to the adaptive audio capability they both have. Their quick responses to commands are products of built-in machine learning which is made possible through better sound quality.

Google programmed its two smart speakers with embedded machine learning chips. The technology helps the speakers to learn comments and command over time.

The recent speakers from Google both have automatic volume adjustments that blend themselves to the noise they pick up from the environment. One example is when a Google user is using the speaker and somebody turned on the vacuum cleaner or hairdryer nearby. The smart speakers will automatically increase the volume to maintain the smooth flow of sound.

Asking questions to the smart assistant also comes easier than the predecessor. It automatically answers the question fast without the need to ping the cloud. As replacements for the well-loved Google Home, the Nest Audio and Nest Mini can control the smart home.

Nest users may also enjoy more auto features from the two smart speakers. They may ask about the weather, search for a local restaurant within the area as well as playing.

Having both the smart speakers around, a user may play the audios on both and play them as synced audio. However, for commands that both speakers pick up, the first one to receive the frequency gets the job done and the other automatically rejects the command. This can prevent duplicating responses.

Google Nest Audio vs Mini More Features

The Nest Audio comes with the tap command functions. Tapping the top center puts the song on play and pause. Tap the right top of the speaker to increase the volume and the left to reduce the sound.

According to The Verge, Google designed the Nest Audio and Nest Mini with the appearance reflecting the Google course. Both devices are covered with the familiar fabric cover made from 75% recycled material.

They both have mic buttons at the back and DJ power Jack with no USB C port and auxiliary input. They are available in chalk, charcoal, sand, sky, and sage colors.

Reports noted that the Mini and Audio come in a very slight difference. One is the size because the Audio comes almost seven inches tall.

The Audio also outperforms the Mini with its 19mm tweeter and 75mm subwoofer, a reasonable advantage for that availing of the bigger one for $100 over the smaller one priced at $50.
