The company said that it had now become aware of the sound issues on some of its units. These problems include crackling and static sounds, as well as faulty Active Noise Cancellation.

Apple's new Exchange Program

The giant smartphone manufacturer created a support page last Friday, Oct. 30, for its AirPods Pro exchange program. According to the blog, the company confirmed that a small percentage of AirPods Pro might experience faulty sounds.

It added that the units manufactured before October 2020 are the ones that are affected. Apple explained that the earphones' Active Noise Cancellation feature will not work as expected. This issue leads to increased background noises, such as airplane or street sound, and loss of bass sound.

Apple also announced that owners will have a free replacement, even if it is the left, right, or both pieces that are faulty. However, the company added that AirPods Pro is the only one that will be replaced. Now other AirPods models are included.

How to replace your AirPods Pro

Accessing Apple's new program is a piece of cake! However, before the company accepts your request, Apple will examine your AirPods Pro prior to any offered service to verify that they are qualified for the new program.

AirPods Pro with confirmed issues will be replaced automatically. However, your earphones' case will not be returned since it is not included in the service.

To request a replacement, all you need to do is follow these easy steps;

1) Look for an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

2) Set a meeting at a legit Apple Retail Store.

3) Message or contact Apple Support.

Apple said that if your AirPods Pro is replaced, its warranty coverage will not be extended.
