Apple's iOS 14.2 RC's public-facing release could be near since the giant smartphone manufacturer has already issued it to developers and other public testers. 9TO5Mac reported that it release new features that will surely excite many users.

According to Apple Insider's previous report, the new enhancements can be downloaded through the Apple Developer Center. However, it is only available to those who enrolled in the test program.

The new iOS 14.2 Release Candidate (GM) can also be installed via an over-the-air update on Apple devices running the beta software. Right now, it is the company's 5th beta, which arrived about ten days after the fourth version's release on Oct. 20.

What to expect from iOS 14.2 RC

It was reported that Apple is replacing the term "GM Seed" with RC. That's why the latest system version is called "iOS 14.2 RC." Here are the exciting new features that you need to know.

  • It'll have 100 new emojis to spice your chats.
  • The new system brings fix for HDR videos thumbnails exported from Final Cut Pro X.
  • Redesigned Airplay 2 interface is also available.
  • Control Center's Airplay 2 controls are also improved.
  • iOS 14.2's new animations allow you to see if other AirPlay 2 devices are active.
  • Podcasts, music, and more, will have source icon indicator.
