DJI Mavic Mini 2 could be out in the market on November 4. Leaks that surfaced on the internet one after the other added substance to the speculations that the successor to the 2019 Mini is on its way.

Images posted by a known DJI leaker @OsitaLV showed a glimpse of the DJI Mini 2. Although the pictures were in low resolution they were also posted on a European website with a description that lists Mini 2.

According to DroneDJ, whenever DJI launches a new product it releases a slick photo of its upcoming device. Although the drone maker did not release any official announcement on the Mini 2 launch yet, the photos surfacing the internet were enough signs that the DJI Mini successor launches soon.

A YouTube creator even managed to purchase one DJI Mavic Mini 2 on one of the US Best Buy stores and create an unboxing video. The creator later released another video revealing more about the upcoming drone's specs.

As of the moment, some Best Buy stores already have the DJI Mini 2 stocks behind their frosted glasses. Reports say that the latest addition to the famed drone family couldn't be purchased until November 4 as per Best Buy employees.

DJI Mavic Mini 2 Features

The DJI Mavic Mini 2 features some significant improvements from the initial Mavic Mini if 2019. Its flying time has been increased to up to 31 minutes.

Although it has almost the same camera as its predecessor, Mini 2 comes with a 4K shooting capability. It also comes OcuSync 2.0 enabled and can reach an altitude of 4000 meters.

Leaks also hinted that the upcoming drone release will feature a 12-megapixel camera with a 1/2.3-inch sensor. It can capture a video of up to 30 frames per second.

The machine's main camera will have an 83-degree field of view. The lens goes to an f/2.8 aperture to boot.

When using the upcoming drone camera for photography, it uses DNG format to capture RAW photos as well as the standard JPEG format.

The upcoming drone's flight performance comes with significant improvements as well. It can go to a speed of 16 meters per second front/back/side-to-side. The ascension speed will be at five meters per second.

In spite of having a longer flight time, the newest addition to the family will have a smaller battery than expected. Reports suggest that it will come with a 2250mAh battery.

Rumors also surfaced that the latest DJI release will come in two new exciting colors, slime green and bubble gum pink aside from the usual white.

Although DJI still used the name Mavic Air 2 for its May release, the company is planning to drop its "Mavic" branding. So drone lovers could expect to welcome the new DJI Mini 2 name as it launches on November 4.
