YouTube Music is getting more and more popular as the video platform has evolved into more than just a website and app for viewing videos. YouTube already had a big following which has shown to be a huge advantage as they started to transition into something bigger.
YouTube Music aims to take on competitor Spotify
With Spotify capitalizing on music streaming, YouTube Music aims to take it on head-to-head with a number of people already coming back to one of the original ways for them to view music.
The currently forced transition from the usual Google Play Music over to YouTube Music is already upon us according to an article by Engadget. For those that have already made the switch or are still making the switch, an annoying aspect of the particular new service has somehow ticked off most users.
This "glitch" supposedly blends any random videos coming from YouTube in with other music. As far as YouTube is concerned, likes on other traditional YouTube videos actually happen to be tagged directly as music and work technically the same as songs. This then duplicates if ever the users like both a video and a song separately, according to Engadget.
How to Filter Out Likeed Videos on YouTube Music
According to Android Police, a recent feature just appeared that allows users to toggle the fix on the settings menu. Users can just opt-out of actually seeing any of their own likes from YouTube especially while they are using YouTube Music website or its app. However, this feature does not work in reverse meaning likes from the YouTube Music app still carry over towards the video side.
1. To filter out videos, head to music.youtube.com or the YTM app on the phone.
2. Open the settings shown on the account menu located somewhere on the top right corner shown on the interface.
3. A "show your liked music from YouTube" option is turned on by default and if ever the user would not like to mix the liked YouTube music videos on the YTM app, all that needs to be done is to switch this off.

YouTube Music and its improvement over time
YouTube has continually been diligently filling out certain holes within its given music services at a fast-paced speed ever since some time last year. Even if the expected change is up and coming a little bit late during the game, it seems like YouTube Music is still consistently improving its features.
With the number of improvements that YouTube has rolled out, the YouTube Music app only improves over time. As to whether or not it can beat Spotify's music streaming market share, the answer is still unsure but the answer will come some time in the future.
