Amazfit is now prepared to update the range of its much loved premium smartwatches for the whole global markets that include both the GTS 2 and the GTR 2. These two watches are both similar to its older models in particular ways but they still have some notable upgrades when it comes to internal function.
What has changed and what stays the same?
The prices have also changed as well with both of these units, the Amazfit GTS 2 and the GTR 2 both starting at $179. Unlike what happened in the previous years, Amazfit has been keeping the prices very similar but with a few changes to its key features.
The GTS 2 comes along with three different color variants while the GTR 2 only comes with two different color variants.
Although the GTS 2 and the GTR 2 are technically the same smartwatches just using different designs as well as having different battery capacities. The Amazfit GTS 2 still retains its original rectangular 1.6 inch AMOLED display. On the other hand, the GTR 2 gets a new circular 1.3 inch AMOLED display.

The Amazfit GTR 2 also comes with two different versions including a particular Sport edition that uses a 22mm silicone strap along with an aluminum body. The other version makes use of a Classic edition along with stainless steel casing as well as a 22mm leather strap.
According to an article by BGR, the Amazfit GTS 2 will be getting a smaller 246mAh battery but Amazfit claims that it can last up to an entire week during regular mode. When using the battery saver mode, the watch is said to be able to last up to 20 whole days.
The known GTS 2 weighs about 24.7 grams w/o its strap, which is quite lighter than the GTR 2 weighing 31.5 grams and 39 grams for its Classic edition. The Amazfit GTR 2 also gets a bigger 417mAh battery that is apparently able to last all the way up to 14 days on just a single charge, while the battery saver mode is said to last up to a total of 38 days, according to an article by Engadget.

Enthusiasts will be happy with regards to the sensory features
According to the article by BGR, fitness enthusiasts will then be happy to find that all sorts of sensors used to track the various kinds of activities will be included in the watch. One of them allows the watch to track up to an impressive 12 different sports activities with the use of both watches.
The watches also reportedly have a feature that watches the heart rate sensor, the gyro, accelerometer, barometer, and also an ambient light sensor. The watch also supports location tracking with the support of both a GPS and a GLONASS onboard. As for which is better, it still depends on the user's preference.
