Social media influencers are earning much from posting on different platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. Highly popular celebrities like Kim Kardashian could earn hundreds of thousands to millions in just a single post.
In a recent interview with David Letterman for his Netflix show as reported by Daily Mail, Kim Kardashian revealed that she is earning more in Instagram than what she gets in an entire season of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," her family's long-running reality show.
Kim Kardashian Instagram and the Money She Makes
The 39-year-old reality star told on Letterman's Netflix show "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction's" upcoming episode that the series isn't her primary source of income. Kim Kardashian's earnings from her paid Instagram are more than what she gets for an entire KUWTK season.
According to Us Weekly, advertisers pay Kim up to $500,000 for a single campaign shared for her 94 million followers in Instagram while Khloe and Kourtney who share photos with their respective 64.1 million and 54.3 million followers can get up to $250,000 each. This means they can earn their show's talent fee for the whole season with just a few Instagram posts.
In 2017, TMZ reported the Kardashian-Jenner clan signed up for another five seasons for a total of $150 million. Since Kris Jenner gets 10% cut as her daughters' manager, the sisters would earn about $4.5 million for each season.
"Realistically, we can post something on social media and make more than we do a whole season," Mrs. West told the late night host. However, Kim is grateful for the show which helped them get into their current stature. "We would not be who we are today without Keeping Up With The Kardashians," said the reality star adding that this is the reason they continue to share their lives.
Meanwhile, the Kardashian-Jenner sisters are going towards the end of their KUWTK journey as the series reach its 20th season in 2021.
Kim Kardashian Net Worth 2020
"My Next Guest's" third season will premiere on October 21 on Netflix. During the interview, Letterman also discussed the finances of both Kim and husband Kanye West. When asked who earns more between the couple, Kim answered: "Him, probably."
She later explained that they are earning "exactly even" and she is "really grateful" that they are both really blessed and doing extremely well with their respective careers.
Last week, Forbes reported on October 13 that Kim is worth $780 million, which makes her the wealthiest member of the Kardashians as the pandemic weakened the sales of her KKW Beauty, her cosmetics company, which was valued at $1 billion in June after she sold 20% of it to Coty.
Meanwhile, Kylie Jenner who was believed to have a billion dollar fortune is now estimated to have $700 million net worth after the sales of Kylie Cosmetics have dried up amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, Forbes reported that Kanye West is officially a billionaire in April, after the publication calculated his net worth at $1.3 billion. However, with Kim Kardashian's earnings from social media, she may be reaching her billionaire status soon.
