Because of this, the purpose of your glasses is compromised. Health Cleveland Clinic explained that this situation further aggravates people as they continuously wipe off their glasses throughout the day, adding to their stress during the ongoing health crisis.

Why your glasses are fogging up

Now, why does it happen? Your breathing is the main reason behind the fog. When warm air touches a cold surface or object, it'll lead to condensation. This usually happens when you enter a warm venue after going outside during cold weather.

It also happens when you wear a mask, which directs your warm breath to your glasses' surface, causing your specs.

However, you can still do something to prevent your specs from fogging up.

Soap, water, and tape are all you need

B 102.7 Classic rock reported that soap and water are great solutions for fogging glasses. Healthcare workers also use them. All you need to do is mix some dish soap with water and wipe them on your spectacles using a soft cloth. It'll serve as a temporary barrier that prevents condensation.

You can also use a piece of tape; it can be a masking tape or scotch tape. Just stick it on the top of your mask, where it covers your nose. This will prevent your breath from escaping to your specs.

If soap, water, and tape are not available, you can just use your glasses to block your mask. Just place your spectacles over your face mask, around your nose bridge, to prevent your warm breath from fogging your glasses.
