Sucker Punch Production's Ghost of Tsushima: Legends can be unbearably complicated at times, actually.Hence it's quite a relief to cut up attackers and instantly move to stances that perform well against them. Sadly, the feature is no longer available in the survival mode. This leaves most of the players wondering what options can be done to unlock and use other stances.
Gamepur notes that adding to its complexity is the fact that stances are not related to the mode's character but to the Katana used during the battle. This makes it impossible to switch between stances. For example, even if you start with the Stone Katana, leveling up later would allow you access to use the Moon Katana. This means that players can only use the weapon in the Moon stance
How to unlock stances
Stance-swapping Katanas come in four distinct types: Wind, Moon, Stone, and Water. You can unlock any of them by leveling up any class and equip from the Gear menu. In case you find that you've got multiple of the same type of katana, it does not really mean that they're all the same.
Every katana you can unlock has its own advantage that could boost your damage or health. Hence, even though you think you're well matched to the Wind Katana, it might not fit your play style the way another Wind Katana would do.
Ghost of Tsushima 1.1. New Co-op mode
