The novel coronavirus still limits people's option to go out in public and buy from stores. That is why the world's most valuable multinational technology company, Apple, will utilize its partner retail stores to act as distribution centers for all Apple devices ordered online. Shipping and delivery will soon be more manageable for Apple as the wide range of partners is spread out across the country.
Apple is making sure that deliveries come on time. Customers will receive their gadgets right on schedule with the new announcement by the company of collaborating with its retail partners to deliver products for the company. Partners and co-distributors of the company will now give the limited, official Apple Stores aid.
According to Mac Rumors, Apple's previous options were from the company's warehouse and, in some cases, a direct from China approach. These methods were not doing Apple and its customers any good as time and money were taken to waste.
Customers who are within 100 miles away from an authentic Apple Store will have the option 'ship-from-store' and will not come directly from the warehouse. However, customers will not be able to choose this option, and Apple will pre-determine this automatically for the buyers.
Items currently in-stock on the network of 300 store locations will receive their devices as soon as possible, with a significant possibility of a one-day ship-out delivery. No need for the customers to worry as Apple will handle the logistics and decisions for the shipping and delivery.
Apple Stores, Retailers, and Distributors: Shipping all Apple Needs
As Apple gears up for new devices and shipping the recently released gadgets from the 'Time Flies' September Fall Launches, Apple thought of delivering its products to the customers and saving time efficiently.
The shipping time would still depend on the stock and product that the customer buys. Apple guarantees that the in-stock items will be shipped as soon as the day after placing an order in the online store.
It is important to note that purchasing from Apple's official store and website will differ from ordering from the retail store's online markets. Stocks and items will also vary when ordering as Apple prepares for the October 13 launch.
Initially, Apple told its staff that to 'reduce costs and improve product margins,' the Cupertino-giant will collaborate with distribution centers to deliver the online-purchased devices. Apple also says that this is 'beneficial to the environment' compared to couriers traveling long distances to bring the product to a customer.
Apple's Fast Delivery: Collaborating with FedEx
The Cupertino giant's right-hand in bringing the products on time for American customers will be FedEx, a Memphis-based multinational courier. The Federal Express would be concerned for all of Apple's deliveries, bringing the devices right at people's doorsteps.
According to Bloomberg, Apple already tested out this shipping process, with some retail stores deciding not to participate.
