The first game of NBA Finals series between Miami Heat and the LA Lakers has featured the new ad for Cyberpunk 2077, which is scheduled for release on November 19.
The new commercial was featured in the recent NBA finals game, which was won by Los Angeles Lakers 116-98. It features Keanu Reeves who also stars in 2020's highly-anticipated game developed by CD Projekt Red.
The new ad is quite short, but it shows that players will have wider range of choices in the new game. Reeves said in the ad that in 2077, the only way a person could become a criminal "is to get caught." The ad was shared by Geoff Keighley in Twitter, which already nearly 200,000 views since its posting on October 1.
The upcoming dystopian role-playing game will allow players to set off on their unique adventures through the crime-riddled Night City, which was based on decades of science fiction cinema and literature.
Cyberpunk 2077 is CD Projekt Red's next epic game since it released The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 2015. The game will redefine the genre with a wide range of options to customize characters, an expansive open-world map, numerous dialogues to provide different playthroughs, and of course, Keanu Reeves' addition in the supporting cast.
Since 2013, CDPR has begun working on Cyberpunk 2077, but the developer has not yet finished such a humongous project that led to numerous delays. It was supposed to be released I September 17, but CD Projekt Red studio head Adam Badowski has decided to further delay the launch to November.
This was even after Badowski launched their final sprint six weeks ago, which forced them to work six days a week. "This is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make," Badowski wrote in a statement shared in Twitter adding that everyone will be well compensated for each extra hour they will put in the project that they "care for deeply."
Badowski also promised that the company will continue to share 10% of its 2020 profit among the team.
