Ever since Call of Duty came out, there have been a whole lot of people who have started to get into the whole First Person Shooter genre and have continued ever since. Ever since the first game, Call of Duty has been gaining popularity amongst FPS players with its fun online multiplayer system.
Lately, Infinity Ward has been noticing that a lot more people have started cheating and this is something that they do not tolerate at all. Infinity Ward wants to give players who play by the rules a great experience when it comes to their games which is why they are on a crackdown to find the players who have been abusing the rules.
200,000 accounts have been banned for cheating
Infinity Ward has said that there have already been over 200,000 accounts that have been banned in both Modern Warfare and Warzone. Infinity Ward has a zero-tolerance policy for these cheats and is still in the process of cracking down even more violators of the game. Just recently, a number of high-profile coaches of popular teams were seen abusing the surveillance bug resulting in their suspension in another game, CSGO.
The suspension served as a warning for others taking advantage of certain things also in Call of Duty to stop what they are doing before they get caught. Although it is still highly unlikely that Infinity Ward will be able to catch every single cheater right away, they have already doubled their efforts in surveying certain irregularities around.
Lapses within the game still exist
Although Call of Duty seems like a fool-proof game, certain cheaters have still found a way to bring out the bad side of this game and abuse certain weaknesses found in the system. The cheaters have found certain lapses in the game and have developed a way to take advantage of these.
A lot of Call of Duty players have been complaining about the surge in cheaters within the game and have noticed that it definitely brings an unfair advantage to those cheaters. Playing against cheaters is often an automatic loss and it's very rare that players are able to win against said cheaters.
With Infinity Ward's increased efforts towards catching these cheaters, it is expectable that there will be even more accounts to banned in the coming months. Infinity Ward's search within their system for cheaters has only begun and since they have been able to crack down a huge quantity of them, they can already see the patterns that some cheaters use and use that as a blueprint to catch other cheaters.
Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare have been two of their most popular games. Another popular game of theirs is the CoD mobile which has been getting the traction and even going head-to-head with popular Battle Royal game PUBG.
