Dr. Li-Meng Yan became really popular as of late for alleging that the worldwide coronavirus actually came from a lab located in Wuhan, China, and did not actually come from nature as was previously believed in. For the start of the pandemic, it was widely believed that the virus came from a wet market in China that sold exotic animals as food.
The wet market was said to be selling bats and they were pinpointed to be the main cause of the ongoing coronavirus. Although most parts in Asia are known to eat exotic foods as either part of their culture or part of their cuisine, Dr. Li-Meng Yan claims that it has nothing to do with the development of the coronavirus.
Dr. Li-Meng Yan's allegations regarding the coronavirus origin
Dr. Li-Meng Yan is a virologist who has worked with some esteemed universities and according to her, she stumbled upon the SARS-CoV2 really early before the actual outbreak. When she approached her superiors, she stated that they only told her to hide the whole story from the public and this changed her.
Dr. Li-Meng Yan then decided to make what she knew public, going on interviews and releasing specific scientific papers explaining why, according to her, the coronavirus actually originated in a laboratory in Wuhan, China.
The whistleblower then had to leave home
After her allegations went public, she was then allegedly in a tight spot which means that she had to flee China and Hong Kong and leave for the United States where she can find some solace and a safe space away from the ones she alleged was behind everything, the Chinese Communist Party.
Dr. Li-Meng Yan mentioned that her very own social media accounts were actually shut down including her Twitter account for saying things about the coronavirus and where it allegedly originated. In a recent interview for the mass nl channel on YouTube, Dr. Li-Meng Yan alleged that after the Chinese took down her social media, they started to make social media accounts in order to pretend to be her and to try to hide the allegations that she put out.
The public appearances to share the story
This was not as successful as originally intended because Dr. Li-Meng Yan decided to go on TV to a number of news stations in order to report the story and everything just started spreading. Today, the allegations of virologist Li-Meng Yan are still being validated by certain experts in the field but as of the moment, the truth about the origin of the coronavirus is still a very widely debated topic.
Dr. Li-Meng Yan has currently published another paper about why the coronavirus originated from a lab in Wuhan, China and is also being very active in appearing on certain interviews to share her story.
