The world's clean energy company and electric vehicle manufacturer, Tesla, features security and safety features that give people the value for their money, particularly with the Sentry Mode that immediately detects threats and records for documentation purposes. Alongside this, Amazon's home security company, Ring, will soon release a matching accessory for Tesla's Sentry Mode that creates alert and notifications for the EV owner through WiFi or mobile data.
People are always worried about safety and security, leading some extreme measures to protect themselves and their properties from any forms of theft, damage, and vandalization. The clean energy company, Tesla, does promise safety from accidents and crashes and unparalleled security within one's vehicle.
Tesla Sentry Mode is a safeguard for the vehicle after numerous theft attempts for properties and the EV itself. Also, other cases of vandalization in California saw the disregard for Tesla's electric cars. This feature is available on the Model S, X, Y, and 3, protecting the car from external threats silently.
According to Electrek, Tesla is now partnering with Amazon's Ring, a doorbell camera known for its hilarious advertisements and commercials featuring celebrities and personalities. The new device would help in Tesla's sentry mode and upping its security more than the stock company design.
Once available, Tesla and Ring's partnership will bring an all-new security feature that will further protect the electric vehicle from external risks and threats. Furthermore, this will also give new features such as alloted USB ports, differing from those used by the disk drive.
Amazon Ring x Tesla Sentry Mode: How effective will it be?
Amazon's subsidiary company, Ring, recently announced in their fall event that new technology products partnered for vehicles would soon be available. Several of the car products are intended explicitly for Tesla, the Ring Car Connect for Tesla.
The Ring Car Connect for Tesla will be a device that accesses all of Tesla's autopilot sensor cameras to show its real-time recording and view of the surrounding place. This device will also allow users to see the recorded footage while driving, seamlessly uploaded to the application's cloud compartment.
Paired with Sentry Mode, owners can now have extra assurance in leaving their vehicle as there will be an 'eye' that will look over the car. Still, safety is a priority and should not be looked over, despite the added security of both Sentry and Ring.
The Car Connect API for Tesla is an aftermarket product from Amazon designed explicitly for the electric vehicles Model S, X, and 3. Currently, Amazon's Ring does not have the Federal Communications Commission's Approval, so sales and purchases will soon be available.
Tesla's Sentry Mode, How does it work?
Tesla's Sentry Mode is more like a safeguard or fallback once a user leaves the car. It will be immediately active once leaving the vehicle, but the video recording of the surroundings will only begin once a threat begins to loom over the car.
Tesla's Sentry can be manually shut off through the EV, only when the battery is critically low, or when charging at an integrated Tesla Supercharger.
