Elon Musk isn't particularly the bragging type but when the Tesla and CEO talks about certain achievements, it's usually pretty good! After the most recent battery day, Elon Musk tweeted out a picture of what seemed to be three of the most interesting Tesla vehicles.
The tweeted picture included a Cybertruck, a Roadster, and also a Semi all in one singular photo. Although the Tesla Roadster was previously released back in 2017, the Cybertruck however and the Semi are still on its way!
What can we expect from the future Cybertrucks, Semis, and Roadsters?
The previous Cybertruck reveal had all sorts of mixed reactions as some people did not appreciate the truck's design while others understood the efficiency that came with it. The Cybertruck, unlike most trucks, was built with efficiency first and design later which is why it looks the way that it looks.
Before the recent Battery Day where Elon Musk updated the public regarding what the future of Tesla looks like in terms of their batteries, he actually Tweeted out that it will affect the long-term production of the known Roadster, Cybertruck, and also the Semi. It was also stated that what was to be announced will not be able to reach serious high-volume production until later on in 2022.
It was also stated that some people do not actually understand the scaling process and that it is actually harder than it seems. Elon Musk says that scaling is not just about being able to create a new prototype then put it to manufacturing, it actually requires a whole lot more than that.
Good news on Battery Day
The Battery Day revealed that Tesla wanted to utilize the techniques that aircrafts use when storing fuel in their wings except this time, Elon Musk wants to utilize the structural batteries making a significant chunk of the car a battery in itself. It was also stated that Tesla will later on be using 370 fewer parts in order to make their cars both more affordable and also more efficient.
Despite the ongoing pandemic, Tesla has been doing quite well being able to boost profits and come out with really high quarterly results. Elon Musk admitted during Battery Day that Tesla already has the technology but they would still need the significant amount of economy or funding in order to scale this technology.
With the positive outcome that happened on Battery Day, this might be a good thing for the Roadster, Cybertruck, and Semi production later on in the future. Although the Cybertruck and Semi are currently not yet available for worldwide public retail, it seems like Tesla wants to launch them right and launch them massively.
Scaling these vehicles would require some advanced batteries that both cut cost and increase efficiency. The recent Battery Day enlightened the public regarding Tesla's plans on how they want to move forward and become better than they already are.
