Tesla and SpaceX CEO and father, Elon Musk, laugh in front of the press as he was being interviewed in his recent trip to Germany, particularly in Gigafactory Berlin, after mistaking his son's name, X Æ A-12, for a password. Elon Musk cleared up his confusion immediately and laughed the embarrassment away for not recognizing the name.
The world's fourth-richest person is the forefront in electric vehicle technology and design, promising a fast satellite internet and promoting clean, sustainable energy. However, Musk is also known for naming his son a ludicrous and out-of-this-world designation, X Æ A-12 Musk.
Elon Musk's son, "Ex," in simple terms, is the Tesla CEO and Canadian musician, singer-songwriter, Claire Boucher, also known as her stage name, 'Grimes,' almost four-month-old newborn. X Æ A-12 Musk's controversial name became a topic of memes, issues, and even critique from the online world.
According to Daily Mail, Elon Musk was being interviewed about the Gigafactory when suddenly, a reporter asks about his son, X Æ A-12. Musk looked confused after hearing his son's name and asked the reporter to repeat the question.
After understanding and hearing for the second time, Musk bursts out in laughter, saying, 'Oh, you mean my kid? That sounds like a password."
X Æ A-12's Name-How to Pronounce?
Elon Musk's child is one of the world's most bizarrely named baby this 2020, having a combination of letters, Latin ligatures, a hyphen, and a number. Upon seeing or reading it, the public would be confused and have a hard time even calling out the name.
The unique and odd name for a child is pronounced as "Ex Ash Ay Twelve." In simpler terms, Elon Musk refers to his newborn as 'Ex.'
X Æ A-12's name also faced a lawful violation in California, where the infant was born, for its number 12, not allowed in the state. The Musk couple officially changed the name "X Æ A-Xii," still the same read and pronunciation, replacing only the number 12 with its roman numerals.
X Æ A-12's Name-What's the meaning behind this?
In a Twitter post by Grimes (@Grimesz), the mother clarified and broke down the name days after the infant's birth. The Canadian mother and the Tesla CEO seemed to thought about the name very hard before their baby's birth and incorporated all of their favorite things on the planet.
According to Grimes, X stands for the unknown variable representation in common mathematics and scientific problem, while Æ stands for the elvish spelling of the word 'Ai' that translates to love and Artificial Intelligence.
The musician also says that A-12 is a precursor to the wrongfully mentioned SR-17 aircraft with no weapons, just a fast jet in the US Army's fleet. Elon Musk replies on Grimes' tweet and clarifies the incorrect information shared.
