WATCH David Blaine's Insane Ascension Stunt with 52 Helium Balloons: Illusionist Floats 24,000ft for His Daughter

World-famous master illusionist, extreme performer, and magician, David Blaine, performs a historical feat in his career for his daughter, emulating the hit Pixar movie, Up, by holding 52 Helium Balloons and rising around 24,000 feet above the ground. David Blaine does it again for his daughter and fans in Ascension's premiere, streamed live on YouTube!

David Blaine portrays another fantastic feat in his career by rising above grounds using only 52 huge Helium Balloons that suspended him in the air, beating his initial goal of going above 18,000 feet and reaching 24,000 feet or 3.2 miles.

The 47-year-old father promised his daughter a new performance that took him beyond human capabilities of soaring up into the air with just balloons. The stunt was performed by Blaine in the Arizona desert and lasted for an hour, from soaring high, to descending back.

David Blaine's Ascension was a success and marvelous feat for the master illusionist who used his platform again to portray his skills and talent in creating out-of-this-world performances. The magician skydived back into the surface using his parachute that he took along with him as he ascended.

Magician and master illusionist David Blaine stated that this is the most significant live performance in his career, beating all of his other feats on stage and national television. Blaine dedicated this stunt to his 9-year-old daughter, Dessa, who went with him to his "balloon launch" in Arizona.

The YouTube stream told the story of how David Blaine prepared himself and his crew to perform this astonishing flight. The 2-hour extended preview portrayed everything Blaine did, including his 'ascension' and return to the ground.

David Blaine said that this stunt is his most daring and is crazier than anything the master illusionist has performed throughout his career.

The magician strapped himself in the balloon with harnesses and began by dropping-off some weights to prepare himself. Blaine rose to the skies in an average of 500 feet per minute, aiming to achieve 18,000 heights.

At 8,000 feet, the master illusionist strapped himself into the parachute he brought with him as his ride back. Little did Blaine know that he would be achieving more than his expected altitude. The magician rose with the balloons for a staggering 24,900 feet up in the air.

All For Daughter Dessa

Upon David Blaine's descent, he immediately rushed to his daughter and said, "I love you. This is all for you."

The master illusionist portrayed a stunt dedicated to his daughter, an act of fatherly love that made him do the mind-blowing feat.

Blaine then regarded that the stunt was nothing like his previous performances, wherein he felt like he had no control throughout his flight.

Initially, the 'Ascension' was supposed to be done in his hometown in New York City. However, after a few postponements due to bad weather conditions and unpredictable strong winds, the team headed to Arizona and did the whole production over the desert.
