Samira: League of Legends' New Gunslinging Slasher-Warrior Review [Abilities, Secret Mission, Fighting Style]

League of Legends is one of the most popular games today with a huge following not only in the United States but worldwide. The game has actually grown despite the COVID-19 pandemic as most people are shifted towards mobile games in general.

League of Legends has just released a trailer about an upcoming character in the game known as Samira: The Desert Rose and if you haven't seen the trailer, you should better check it out.

The YouTube trailer

The video is titled Samira: The Desert Rose | Champion Trailer - League of Legends on YouTube and from the start, it shows a sort of Prince of Persia theme with a pretty cool woman throwing up a sword in the air that looks a bit Persian by the curve of the blade.

Aside from this, Samira wields double pistols which aren't just any pistols but futuristic cyberpunk pistols. Oh yeah, there are two recognizable features about Samira aside from her getup, she's rocking an eyepatch and also has a mole above her lip almost Marilyn Monroe style.

Another piece of detail that ties this character to the Prince of Persia theme is the red details you can find on both her outfit and the cloth attached to her sword. Her guns have red detail but they aren't too recognizable.

Samira's mission, abilities, and fighting style

Samira is one of the more versatile fighters in League of Legends especially with her habit of switching from short-range and long-range every once in a while. Some of her skilled attacks involve an AoE so you will be able to attack enemies around.

It seems like her huge sword really plays a part in attacking multiple enemies at once. She's also able to switch to her guns in no time should you need to attack in ranged combat although her sword actually has a pretty long reach.

Other details you might miss

Samira has golden roses engraved on her guns supporting her title as The Desert Rose. Her left and right arm also appear to be covered in tattoos and although hard to spot, they go all the way from just below her shoulder all the way to the black gloves she wears. She is also covered in gold jewellery that wraps her hair and also her belly.

The attacking style is pretty versatile and you'll have to be quick on your feet if you want to master League of Legends' Samira. Her tagline nearing the end of the trailer is "buy something nice. On me" while she tosses a coin at you.

Her voice suggests a strong and exotic warrior that does not shy away from combat and this is very true with the way she holds her gun and switches to her sword every once in a while.
