A new Chinese smartphone is set to blow your mind. Can you imagine taking a picture with your smartphone without any cameras visually seen on the phone? Apparently, the under-display camera is now the newest trend on phones. And this Chinese brand is set to become the first phone to have this crazy feature. Here's what it looks like.
Who likes 'under-display camera' phones?
There are a lot of doubts about choosing Chinese smartphones over other brands. But when it comes to the newest trends, this country surely doesn't go for the last place.
Chinese smartphone brand ZTE Corporation is set to launch its latest ZTE Axon 20 5G on Tuesday, September 1. Maybe you've had enough of all the newest brands, but this phone may literally catch your eye.
You've already seen three cameras at the back, or even pop-up selfie cameras-- but you might have never seen an under-display camera.
Axon 20 5G is the very first smartphone model to give out this feature commercially. This means that you won't see the physical camera structure outside the phone, it is literally inside the screen without you knowing.
GS Marena said in the report that this unique phone is ready for its mass distribution after its release.
Here's what it looks like based on the ZTE official Twitter page:
Other specs you should know!
Other than the unique under-display camera design inside it. Honestly, there is nothing pretty unique on the hardware or even software of the device itself.
According to Somag News, we can expect ZTE Axon 20 5G with a 6.92-inch display that offers a full HD + AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2460×1080 pixels.
The bigger screen display is maybe quite a stretch since there are no displayed cameras already. But who knows, maybe it contains a huge effect on the under-screen camera.
It has an average storage capacity of up to 12GB of RAM, which can max up to 256GB of storage. The battery capacity is also longer than other phone brands with its 4,120 mAh battery.
Instead of the Snapdragon 865-- commonly on the newest 5G smartphones--, Axon 20 will be powered by the aforementioned Snapdragon 765G.
The most important thing is the camera specs. Since it will be the first time to commercialize an under-display camera phone, we don't really expect a camera that much. But according to the leaked report, Axon 20's front camera is under the 32MP display and has a set of four rear lenses with sensor 64MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth.
GS Marena managed to get a picture from Weibo accounts of what the output image would like using the new ZTE Axon 20 5G-- and its cool that you may not see the difference between the standard phones and the under-screen camera phones.
For now, we're not seeing prices yet. But it may come soon.
