A young Taiwanese toddler was thrown high up in the air after getting tangled in a massive kite's tail. The shocking incident happened during a Taiwanese festival that took place in Hsinchu.
The festival was supposed to be a family-friendly event, with kites in all shapes and designs. Astronauts, dragons, and other flying objects can be seen in the air.

However, a large candy-dispensing kite caused an alarm after carrying a young girl a few meters into the air. Via Travels, the travel blogger who caught the shocking footage, said that people noticed that the flying figure was not part of the event.
"I suddenly heard the family say in a horrified voice: 'There are children!' I'm still wondering what to say? And I looked up, oh my God, It's actually a little kid flying in the sky!" said the travel blogger.
He described that the little girl was tangled by the candy kite's tail, carrying her like a rag doll. The onlookers quickly addressed the incident after they realise what was happening.
They grabbed the girl as the strong wind subsided. The Taiwan News reported that the three-year-old girl named Lin had no other option but to hold on after getting caught in the tail of the flying object.
Good news! The girl didn't suffer from any serious injuries
Luckily, the girl only suffered from minor cuts and bruises. Lin Chih-Chien, the city's mayor, issued an apology on behalf of the town. He added that an investigation is already on its way to prevent similar incidents in the future.
"The city government team offers its sincere apology to the victim and the public," said Lin.
The Kite festival was cut shortly after the accident was reported. In 2019, the Hsinchu City International Kite Festival also took place at Hsinchu Fishing Port. 15 international kite-flying teams were invited, and around 100 kite operators participated in the event.
Japan's Airrex team, who won a world championship in France, also participated in the festival. Pop stars and African djembes drummers also performed in the 2019 event.
