Marvel's Avengers is now available, August 7, for pre-order for PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox, and Steam PC platforms weeks before its September launch. This pre-order entail player an early access beta version of the game.
American Game Developer, Crystal Dynamics, and Japan's Square Enix's highly anticipated Avengers game will launch on September 4. Still, fans are eager to play the game ahead of its set date. According to Newsweek, an early access beta version of the game is given to fans who will pre-order from August 7-9, 2020.
The beta version of the game is set to drop by August 14, 2020, almost three weeks before its September launch. Players will be able to play as their favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe 'Original Six' Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black Widow. Still, it is said that there will be even more characters, dependent on the platform or console used.
Sony's Play Station 4 will be the first to receive the open beta, followed by the Xbox and Steam PC owners.
Pre-orders and Open Beta Weekend Schedule
Crystal Dynamics announced through Marvel's Avengers' official Twitter account @PlayAvengers, gamers can pre-order today, August 7 to August 9. This schedule also applies for the PS4 users' first access as the game's downloadable beta version will be made available for the console. Open beta testing will start today at 9 p.m. and ends on Sunday, August 9, also at 9 p.m.
Newsweek states that the following weekend paves the way as developers give Xbox and Steam PC gamers a chance to have a first look at the game. The download opens on Friday, August 14, at 9 p.m. and ends on Sunday, August 16--9 p.m. both on U.S. local time.
The weekend before the game's September launch will run the game's final beta version test from Friday, August 21, at 9 p.m. up until Sunday, August 23, at 9 p.m. This week's run will be the last beta test schedule open for gamers just before the game's full version official launch.
Marvel's Avengers Gameplay and What to Expect
Since, Marvel Entertainment's teaser of the game last 2017 first dropped, players and Marvel fans have been anxious to know what the game is about. Japanese game developer, Square Enix, teases a complete original story for Marvel's new video game.
Alongside Crystal Dynamics, the developers are confident to say that their game would embody the characters and franchise's original storyline from the comics, movies, and television shows.However, this does not stop both developers from including their flair and direction on the game's development.
Marvel's Avengers game, announced via Twitter, that the game would let players collect fragments of comic books that offer in-game points and increases stats such as damage and armor. The said comic books will give not only stats but also facts and trivia surrounding the comics and storyline of the Avengers' franchise.
The beta version will focus on the single-player campaign mission, a part of the online access for multiplayer, and download post-launch content. The beta also requires players to create their very own Square Enix account that is free to register.
