Have you joined the recent Pokemon GO Fest 2020? If yes, cheers to you! We all know how fun and exciting it is to catch the rarest and shinest pocket monsters out in the field. Niantic announced that the Pokemon GO event was a total success, and a record of million trainers actively participated over the weekend. But did you know that Niantic had a special treat for all of the participating trainers? Yup, there was. And it's hidden on its 'Thank you' message.
Pokemon GO: Thanks Trainers!
Aside from collage images of all PoGo trainers around the world, Pokemon GO also announced a total of billion pocket monsters were caught over the weekend event. Trainers were also able to defeat over 58 million Team GO Rocket members, had sent 55 million gifts, and trainers had walked nearly 15 kilometers each during the event.
As previously mentioned, all the proceeds that will come from Pokemon GO Fest 2020 will be donated to charities. That means from a price of $14.99 each ticket, Niantic raised a whopping amount of an estimated $14 million.
"Thank you, Trainers, for making this year's Pokémon GO Fest so special! We were so happy to see how you all enjoyed the event from wherever you were. And as mentioned previously, we'll be donating Niantic's proceeds from Pokémon GO Fest ticket sales," said Niantic. "Until we can all meet again in the same park and under the same sky...let's GO!"
