The Oculus virtual reality platform continues to take on unprecedented growth and new levels in the goal of enhancing user experience. The platform is now introducing a feature that will make the gameplay even more meaningful with friends, despite the social distancing and the pandemic.
From a report on Engadget, Oculus Platform has designed a new way that lets users connect with friends, meet new acquaintances, and share these with the community. Known as the Public Parties and Travel Together, the company has decided to expand the current Parties feature and launch the newest Public Parties for gamers and their set of friends.
Oculus Public Parties
The Public Party is defined as a voice call option for these groups to explore, travel, and enjoy the games together via Oculus. This means that gamers can be able to invite their friends and introduce themselves to more people in the community by transforming the party into public gatherings.

With these new features, Oculus told the media that up to as told on Engadget that up to eight people can participate in the party, and participate in a hangout over a voice chat in virtual reality.
Users and gamers are always on the lookout for easiest ways to meet with new friends and acquaintances in the similar way as they do in the real world. Oculus was made aware of this necessity, and so, it partnered with apps to let groups launch their social experiences into the platform.
Travel with friends
With the Travel Together feature, friends in these parties can travel to experiences without shifting through various menus and waiting for others to join.

Oculus is reportedly enabling this feature to games which include Arizona Sunshine and Cloudlands 2. Other games to find compatibility with the feature are Echo VR, Racket: Nx, Eleven Table Tennis, Synth Riders, Elven Assassin, Epic Roller Coasters, Ironlights, Multiverse, Pro Putt By Topgolf, and Spaceteam VR.
Oculus is also allowing you to find your friends on Facebook, especially those who use Oculus headsets. This makes it easier to connect people in the virtual sphere.
The features include giving the capacity for the gamer to control and be right as your Facebook name, with the Facebook feature in place, including Public, Facebook Friends on Oculus, and Only Me.
For individuals who are signing up to newer accounts, the default setting is "Friends on Oculus," but can be changeable anytime.
Oculus is a subsidiary and sister company of Facebook Technologies, LLC. This virtual reality gaming platform and equipment was founded by Michael Antonov, Brendan Iribe, Nate Mitchell, and Palmer Luckey in Irvine, California in 2012. Now, the headquarters are in Menlo Park in the state.
