Retro Mario Lego Set is By Far the Priciest and Biggest of the Nintendo-themed Sets

If having and seeing that classic Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and an Old-School TV can bring you that nostalgic senses, wait until you have those in LEGO. The company announced an 80s LEGO set that allows users to assemble an NES while portraying a scene from Super Mario Bros. on the screen. NES will be turning 35 years old tomorrow, and to commemorate, LEGO is to schedule the retro set later this summer.

The new LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System Building Kit aims for authenticity that can grasp the memory of the collector or owner. Its NES console has a working game slot that a controller that allows users to insert the included Super Mario Bros. cartridge. The console television would really hit you with that childhood memory, for it was designed with knobs and wooden stand solely to portray the world of gaming from the 80s to 90s.

And on the makeshift Lego "screen" is an action scene from the Mario game, showing the classic the hand crank Mario who moves around in the obstacles. This set not only gives you that 8-Bit flat Mario mini-figure, but you can also move him around the game and put your own spin on it. The course itself is made of technical gears, by using the knob on the side, you can move the course around and play as Mario. If ever purchased the earlier LEGO Mario from the Super Mario Starter Course, they can use the action brick that will make Mario react to the movement on the TV as seen above.

The set will have around 2600 pieces suitable for ages 18 and above. The collector can purchase in any LEGO stores and online on August 1 for $229. And if you are up to on completing your set, you can have it in preorder for $60

Nintendo and LEGO have unveiled the first batch of Super Mario Theme. And the Starter Course includes Mario with the core set being 71360 Adventures with Mario. The starter kit has each of the themed expansions which include other characters, both friends and foes, such as Bowser, Yoshi, Toad, King Boo. It also comes with their own builds based on worlds and fixtures from the video game itself. The 231-piece starter course comes along with the Mario "digi-fig," Goomba and a buildable Bowser Jr., and with a price tag of US $59.99. The Lego NES kit is by far the priciest and biggest of the Nintendo-themed Lego sets.
