[Video] Fortnite Youtubers Receive Backlash After Flaunting Their Mansion Bought From Gaming Earnings

Fortnite YouTube influencers have huddled together to buy a mansion and turn this into a fun-looking sizeable home office, Kotaku reported.

However, from the video of their "mansion tour," it seems that not every netizen is happy about their accomplishment. These YouTube influencers discussing about the game are raking thousands, hundreds, millions, and billions for every video they post. When they decided to invest in properties, they received backlash from the YouTube community itself.

Fortnite is a popular Internet-based video game that Epic Games developed and launched in 2017. It is available in three different game modes that have similar general gameplays and engines.

House tour

The Fortnite YouTube influencers offer the video tour of their house, just like how successful millionaires and billionaires would do it online. They also announced to firm a new company they would call "One Percent" which will comprise of popular personalities who were formerly within the e-sports group, Luminosity Gaming.

With this, individuals who have garnered millions of subscribers on YouTube, including the likes of Formula, Randumb, and Kiwiz will have to reveal their properties they bought using their "own cash" while occasionally obtaining limited edition merchandise that this new company sells. These products include shirts and hoodies.

In the video, the viewer will be taken to the facade of the property, laden with luxury cars right along the driveway.

"It's like they were trying to recreate the opulence of self help grifter Tai Lopez showing off the cars he earned by reading books but ran out of time when it came to decorating the rest of the mansion," Gach added.

A YouTube netizen commented, "Only people who didn't come from TikTok are worthy of liking this."

While others seem to have been inspired and are liking what they are seeing, even suggesting what else they can do, there were quite others like YouTube user Shadow PlayZ who branded them "robbers."

Ostentatious

There were also images of luxury and sophisticated brands like Dior, Cartier, and Louis Vuitton adorning the halls of the interiors. For the correspondent who shared about the story, it seemed like a Vanity Fair ad from Andy Warhol's Instagram account.

For Gach, the design features sadness, because of the odd movie posters and the Funko pops. He said, "They're only slightly more furnished than the guys' empty apartments meme and mostly designed so that the people who just dropped a bunch of money on a mansion never have to leave one 200 square feet patch of it."

However, the YouTube influencers said they are happy with the design, saying this is the "coolest thing" they have done in their "entire life." These teenagers better be thanking the stars for the successes they have garnered out of gaming. Sounds like an inspiration? Share with us your thoughts by commenting below.
