An allergic, pregnant woman posed for maternity photos with "thousands of bees" on her stomach--her images quickly went viral on social media.
According to Daily Mail, that pregnant woman is Bethany Karulak-Baker, a beekeeper from Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Despite having allergy, she posted for this creative maternity shoot. The shocking truth about this story, her doctor approved the shoot.
Bethany shared the stunning photos in the Beekeeping group on Facebook. Although she admitted that she was terrified because she is allergic, the Colorado woman said it was worth it. The creative maternity photos have quickly become viral as it caught the attention of different people--some of them were worried about the baby and the mother.

"This can be extremely dangerous. Please do not try this without experience and knowledge," she captioned on her Facebook post.
"About a year ago, I suffered an extremely traumatic miscarriage. I was hospitalized, broken-hearted, filled with self-blame, and distraught. As we drove away from Yampa Valley Medical Center, after losing our baby, I recall tearing up with the realization that my baby was left alone inside those brick walls; ultimately to be shipped away and examined," she wrote.

Bethany claimed that she has some experience with beekeeping. However, viral maternity pictures have proven alarming for other social media commentators.

Bethany already has two children, both born in Texas and lives in Steamboat Springs; she is currently 37 weeks pregnant with her third child. The startling photoshoot was taken ahead of the baby's birth.
"I wasn't stung once," she said.
"The queen is tethered to my belly inside of a cage. We just dumped the bees on me, and they naturally began to beard," she added.
Bethany confirmed that the photoshoot of about 10,000 bees on her belly, was approved by her doctor. She also claimed that the pictures were not all about a woman with honeybees swarming on her belly. She explained that the shocking photoshoot represents how blessed she is to have made it this far during the hard times of the ongoing global pandemic. Bethany said that she was hoping that "warrior" inside her will be seen by her children when they looked at her maternity photos.
