Sony's manufacturing factory in Japan is reportedly producing PlayStation consoles in great numbers. For instance, a PlayStation 4 console is created every 30 seconds--through robotics, Digital Trends said.
Media reports have revealed the low-key facility that Sony keeps. It's an ultra-fast assembly line run by robotics that can produce a PlayStation 4 console in less than a minute. Ideally, this is about two consoles per minute, or 120 new consoles every hour.
Complete automation: PS5 in 30 seconds
Situated in Kisazaru, the plant is fully-owned and operated by Sony, and houses 32 specialized robots from the Mitsubishi brand, operating in a 100-feet assembly line. The plant has produced various generations of the hardware since the shipping of the PS1 in 1994. Kisazaru is located within the Chiba prefecture in Japan.
There are now four people on the line but robots are the ones who take charge of production. This includes twisting the wires and having them treaded via tiny recesses. The human workers take charge of feeding the consoles onto the belts before the finished outputs are done.
It was in 2019 when the company first started with the strategy, maximizing the production and its efficiency. They're now looking forward to having this process with the PlayStation 5 units.
Starting within this year, Sony will be producing and creating four various PS consoles in two generations. These are the PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition.

Lifting the curtain
How about updates on the PS5? Now that more and more people are acquiring the new console, Sony has decided to lift the curtain. This followed the reactions from fans with regard to its designs. They liked the skyscraper-inspired layout and the WiFi router placement.
Having the futuristic theme, the design came under criticism from customers. In particular, YouTube video creator Giuseppe Spinelli shared his opinion about the PS5. He combined his cinematic perspective upon the console's conceptual design, enticing the fans even more.
