iOS 14 HACKS: 5 Best Hidden Features; Here's How to Unlock Them

iOS 14 is one of the biggest announcement of WWDC 2020. Lifehacker dug deep into the latest beta version of iOS 14 to identify all the interesting features hidden within iPhone that were not mentioned in the event. Here are the five best-hidden features of iOS 14 that you should know about, and how to unlock them, getting the best experience with your iPhone.

Use iOS 14's new picture-in-picture mode with YouTube

The next trick was noted by Drew Coffman, who clarified that multitasking-picture-in-picture mode is one of the best features of the latest version iOS 14; however, it currently doesn't work with the Youtube app. However, if you'll try the Safari browser, it will work on your iPhone.

Have your iPhone alert you when it recognizes certain important sounds

A new "Sound Recognition" is hidden in iOS 14's Accessibility settings, where all the interesting features can be located. This new feature will notify you when your device hears certain objects. Sirens, fire alarms, dogs, cats, a doorbell, and a baby crying are included in the comprehensive list of things in the new Sound Recognition feature.

All sorts of new Photos tools

iOS 14 has a feature that will allow you to add a caption by swiping up slightly on any photos or images you have taken using your device. However, you can't use Spotlight to search for the caption text. You can activate this feature by going to the primary Photos UI, and you'll be able to zoom in and zoom out of your gallery. To launch a new filter for sorting through your Favorites, and all your edited photos and videos, you need to tap the triple-dots in the upper-right corner.

Enhance your voice recordings

If you're tired of hearing your recorded crappy voice, then launching this app will be a big help. Find any recording of your voice that you prefer, then tapping on the triple-dots icon located in the lower-left corner. Choose the "Edit Recording" option and select the new magic wand icon. Doing this might help you remove all the crappy sounds or noise behind your voice to have a slightly better voice recording.
