Not each day that humans help their fellows even when aggravated. There are times when pet dogs take charge.
In this report on Fox News, New York City police have released surveillance clips showing a "yapping small dog" helping to foil a robbery happening at a Brooklyn mom-and-pop pharmacy.
Video footage
The three holdup men, wearing black sweaters and hoodies with face masks, fled away empty-handed after the owner confronted them. The frantic tiny dog was in the scene, helping to foil the crime, WINS-AM reported.
The attempted robbery happened on June 9 at the New Trend Pharmacy in Brooklyn, but only last Thursday when NYPD tweeted about the footage.
The video showed one of the robbers with a gun, climbing past the counter toward the camera. The face, however, cannot be identified. He also was wearing surgical gloves alongside his mask, colored white.
Seconds after, the robber was seen tumbling back over the pharmacy counter and scrambling to his feet before running away with one of his accomplices.

$2,500 reward for tips
The New York Police Department asked, "Seen him? Know who he is?" The police authorities announced whoever can identify the robbers shall receive a $2,500 reward for tips, Fox News added.
No injuries were reported from the attempted robbery.
New York crime stats
It cannot be denied that criminal activities in New York City have increased over time, CBS New York reported. There was an increase in particular, with murders, shooting, and robberies.
Murders rose by 79%, shooting up at 64%, and robberies up at 34%. The NYPD is active in its summer initiatives to mitigate these crimes. Part of their measures and efforts is to command officers to intensify their monitoring and patrol neighborhoods that have had the highest increase in crimes. One of those vulnerable is Brooklyn, where this particular reported incident happened. It is at the 27 crime index, according to the Neighborhood Scout website.
CNN also previously reported the alarming rise in New York City crimes, apart from the ongoing protests against racial injustice in the country.
Mark Morales and Eric Levenson wrote, "Murder, burglary and grand larceny auto crimes have spiked in New York City this past month compared to the same period last year, while rape, robbery and grand larceny crimes have declined, according to New York Police Department statistics."
For instance, there have been 38 murders in the previous 28 days, twice as many as with a similar period during the previous year, according to NYPD statistics up to June 14. So far, this year, there have been more than 150 murders, 25 percent higher than the records last year.
However, it is well below the increased murder during the decade that came before, the NYPD date revealed.
On the other hand, shooting incidents this year are also increasing, with a 24 percent increase from 317 as of this quarter to 394 incidents.
"What we always struggle with, I believe, as police executives, is not keeping crime down. It's keeping crime down and keeping the community with us, and I think those two things, at times, have been at odds," NYPD commissioner Dermot Shea told CNN.
