BTS Will Have A Livestreamed K-Pop Concert: The Details Here

BTS is not letting the COVID-19 pandemic hit their doors. The K-pop group is holding a live concert that fans can watch right at the comfort of their own homes.

The concert is titled Bang Bang Con The Live.

This is among the many live-streamed shows and events that artists have had since the lockdown due to the virus.

Bang Bang Con The Live will be livestreamed for the fans who can watch this right at the comfort of their own homes. BTS has already canceled shows in their world tour, including two nights in London's Twickenham Stadium.

Line-up

Live streaming starts at 10 a.m. BST on June 14, but those who purchase tickets can watch the performance on-demand and with an unlimited time right after. They can buy their tickets via the Weverse app, and each ticket costs $26.09. If they are members of the Global Official Fanclub Army, they will get discounts. The ticket purchase includes a link to the livestream.

As for the line-up of the performance, the Korean group is keeping mum over what the concert will include. However, the viewer experience is highly-anticipated, with videos right from six different angles. Viewers may switch, add, and subtract screens. Plus, there are live chats for more interaction.

Promising deal

In other BTS updates, the K-pop group also recently inked a deal with their Big Hit Entertainment label and tech firm Kiswe Mobile. The tech company will collaborate with the group in their next gigs in what the two parties called a "global partnership."

According to the report on Billboard, Kiswe is a streaming platform that works with live events. They have had projects, including the NBA, the Professional Golf Association, and the Major League Soccer. Recently, they added esports to their list, including the December BTS event.

Led by CEO Mike Schable, Kiswe Mobile was founded by former president of Bell Labs Jeong Kim, along with Jimmy Lynn and Wim Sweldens in 2013. Streaming services of these kinds are of big help especially in the time of the health crisis.

The company's technology provides a central production platform for concert producers to process audio and video, as well as platforms geared toward the fans. These include interactive views, multi-camera, and interactive chat rooms to communicate with live performers. Ticketing and geo-location are also among their innovations.

"It gives BTS an opportunity to engage with their audience around the world in a really unique way, and make the audience feel recognized that their contributions matter," said Schabel. "In partnering with [Big Hit], the thing that I love is that they're so focused on their fans in a way that is just disruptive. They don't take anything for granted, and I think that's why they're such an ideal partner for us, because we are all about fan engagement and transforming the experience."
