The volume production of the upcoming 6.1-inch iPhone 12 from Apple is slated to begin this July to August, BGR reported. This is ahead of the pre-planned lineup this year for other phone units.
Furthermore, Apple is reportedly launching the four newest iPhone models this September or October. However, they admit there will probably be constraints in the supply and production delays, causing inconsistencies in the launch compared with previous years, BGR added.
Four new iPhones
Of these four new phones, reports say that Samsung is poised to be the supplier of the displays. These include the 5.4 inches for iPhone 12, 6.1 inches for iPhone 12 Pro, and 6.7 inches for iPhone 12 Pro. The fourth new model is the 6.1-inch iPhone 12, which has similar features as the entry-level batch. LG and BOE are the display suppliers.
The earlier production for these two 6.1 inches models is that these are bound to utilize touch features that require outsourcing from other partners in the supply chain. On the other hand, the 5.4 inches and 6.7 inches OLED panels from Samsung will make use of Y-OCTA Touch technology.
This display reportedly has the touch sensor located on the OLED panel, without needing the separate touch layers.
Last night, display expert Ross Young gave a preview on the resolution and features of the OLED iPhone units of Apple. Media outlets also noted how the panel production of these components will begin by July's end. However, no sufficient information is available on the particular models going into production ahead of the others.

Fans' reactions are mixed regarding this report. On Seeking Alpha, Guy at Work reading SA posted, "Maybe Crook shouldn't have bought Intel's failing wireless business and instead starting with QCOM from the start, would have thought a $1T company would be smart enough not to try to screw over IP laws but Timmy isn't the brightest."

BGR's Yoni Heiser wrote, "The iPhone 12 release schedule aside, Apple's forthcoming iPhone lineup will be ambitious, to say the least. This year, Apple is planning to launch four distinct iPhone models, all of which will boast OLED displays. All told, Apple's iPhone 12 lineup this year will include two iPhone Pro models in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch form factors. The non-Pro iPhone 12 models, meanwhile, will ship with 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch displays."

Meanwhile, Apple recently confirmed a new problem that iPhone users are facing today. There are reports of iPhone owners noticing a flaw in their displays. For these users, the issue might have been triggered by the iOS update recently. However, for others, the problem stems from the Apple hardware, since requiring this new display.
The flaw is an odd green-colored tint that covers the whole display with a swampy-like hue. For others, it happens only in low light, but for a few other users, it pops up momentary when unlocking the phone. What worse is that, for others, it remains permanently.
