Pikachu and his friends are welcoming new Pokémons in the bunch, making it a total of more than 800 characters to date.
According to GameSpot, the newest Sword and Shield's Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra expansions are including new Pokémons. They include Galarian forms of Slowbro, Gen 1 Legendary birds, and many more.
The Galarian Slowpoke, with habitat at Isle of Armor, will be seen evolving into Galarian Slowbro. It is different from the standard Pokémon since this variant is Galar-exclusive with Poison and Psychic superpowers.
This new and upcoming Galarian character is known for its special power, the Shell Side Arm, which has the capacity to launch poisonous liquid from its Shellder clamped down its arms. It can also perform Quick Draw, which will be shown once the game is on full launch.
New characters
The Isle of Armor also introduces Venusaur and Blastoise, two of the classic Pokémons fans got to know during the first days of the series. This time, they will become Gigantamax Pokémons, each with their so-called G-Max moves.
The Gigantamax version of Venusaur can damage non-grass type Pokémons in a surprising four turns. This power is known as the G-Max Vine Lash.
Meanwhile, Blastoise's Gigantamax version has the G-Max Cannonade, similar to the damages a monster can bring to non-water type foes also in four turns, the report explained.
Furthermore, in the Sword and Shield Pokémon expansion called The Crown Tundra, there will be new Legendary Pokémons on the list. This particular includes the two newest Regis.
The first Regi is named Regieleki, an electric-type Pokémon that has an attack known as Thunder Cage. This power can trap enemies, avoiding them to perform switch outs and also lashes out damages in each turn.
Regidrago is the second newest Regi, a dragon-type Pokémon that can launch "crystallized dragon energy." Its difference from the first Regi is that it carries out bigger damage. The distinct power is known as Dragon's Maw.
More Galarian characters
Sword and Shield's The Crown Tundra is also introducing three classic birds of the legendary type. Their names are Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno. Now, you've heard these from the community, but with new abilities.
For one, these are Galarians. The Galarian Articuno is of the flying and psychic type that can freeze enemies with their Freezing Glare. Meanwhile, the Galarian form of Zapdos is of the flying and fighting type that launches its Thunderous Kick.
Moltres of the Galarian type is of the flying and dark Pokémon type that unleashes the Fiery Wrath attack.
It was in the 1980s when the world was introduced to Pokémon, which is the shortened version of "Pocket Monsters." This franchise originated from a gaming magazine in Japan, called Game Freak. The concept creators were Ken Sugimori and Satoshi Tajiri. The latter was the writer, while Sugimori was the illustrator.
