The much-awaited PlayStation 5 or PS5 is scheduled for release this upcoming holiday. Despite the recent report that announced Sony is delaying a PS5 event in light of the nationwide protests, it is also revealed that the first game will be launched on Amazon pre-order soon, Game Rant reported.
Sony's PS5 boasts of "lightning speed, stunning games, and breathtaking immersion." On their official website, the company revealed players will "discover a deeper gaming experience with support for haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and 3D audio technology."
Aside from this, they can also utilize the power of standard CPU, SSD, and GPU with integrated I/O, thus revolutionizing the rules of what the console can provide. There will also be new features coming their way.
'Scarlet Nexus'
There are launch titles reportedly awaiting during the launch. However, the first game available for pre-order on Amazon is titled Scarlet Nexus, the report added. Buyers may pre-order the game for both Xbox One and PS4 while waiting for the official release.
They also include Xbox Series X and PS5 in the options.
Bandai Namco developed Scarlet Nexus and characterized it as an animation-influenced game in punk-style.
More games are coming, so stay tuned for these. These include Assassin's Creed Valhalla. With these in mind, these announcements are expected to change the way players anticipate and look forward to these PS5 updates.
Delays
Will Scarlet Nexus be affected by the World Wide Web buzzing about the delay of the PS5 event slated for June 4? In the report on CNet, PlayStation said in its official Twitter page that it is delaying the PS5 event due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the nationwide protests.
The coronavirus pandemic has already affected more than six million people around the world and claimed the lives of more than 350,000 patients since its conception.
Aside from this, protests in the country are growing, following the death of African-American George Floyd in the hands of White-American police officers. The protests campaigned against racial injustice.
PlayStation tweeted, "While we understand that gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration, and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard."
Sony is not alone in the advocacy. As a matter of fact, tech firms such as Verizon, Facebook, and Apple have already pledged millions in cash and in-kind to fight racial injustice.
Screenrant also posted information on how gamers can sign up to stay updated on the latest PS5 news, especially with the nearing launch. The company launched a special page on the website where they can register their personal information for updates. Once in, the news and updates will be sent to their inbox.
