Epic Games Store is offering another A-list game after it announced that Grand Theft Auto V and Civilization VI are free for the last few weeks. This time around, fans can get Borderlands: The Handsome Collection without paying for a single dollar on the storefront.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is Now Free
In a report by CNET, the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection includes Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and a whole bunch of additional content.
For those who want to get the game, you only need an account on the Epic Games Store, and once you have logged in, you can download it from Friday, May 29, until Thursday, June 4, at 11:00 a.m. ET.
Once you grab it, it will be yours forever.
If you don't have any space on your computer yet due to the free games we've been getting for the last couple of months, the game doesn't necessarily have to be downloaded and installed.
All you really need is to get it while it's free, and it will automatically stay in your Library where you can download and install it anytime you like.
Borderlands 3 is Also on Sale
Although Epic Games Store does not include Borderlands 3, which is the latest game of the franchise, fans can get it through the storefront's Mega Sale, where anyone can get the title for only $30 half of the original price, as noted by Forbes.
Technically, fans can get three full-length Borderlands titles for just $30--that is if you get the third installment.
If you already have it, then you don't have to pay for anything until June 4 to get two full-length Borderlands titles that can get you busy for the next few weeks and even months until it's much safer to go out and join the public when the pandemic is over.
Borderlands is a shooter game where players can acquire tons of loot that can help in their gameplay.
There have been several rumors in the past few weeks regarding the free games that will appear on Epic Games Store, and according to PCGamer, the Borderlands: Handsome Collection was a part of the leak, which makes people believe the next free game is ark: Survival Evolved.
Nevertheless, take the news with a grain of salt.
Getting a Partial Refund from Epic Games Store
If you had bought Borderlands 3 for the last few days before the sale happened, you could get a partial refund from Epic Games Store.
TechTimes has previously reported that players can get a partial refund as per the storefront's refund policy, which states that customers that acquired a game at full price could get a partial refund if it went on sale after a few days post-purchase.
That means if you bought Borderlands 3 a couple of days ago for $60, you'd be refunded $30 since it went on a massive discount today.
Most of the time, Epic Games Store would automatically reach out to you regarding the refund if they believe you fit the requirement, but you may contact customer support to learn more.
Additionally, you can also check their Refund Policy page.
