Do you want your children to poke around Netflix without them wandering their way beyond the children's section? Do you even have a roommate who keeps inexplicably forgetting to use their profile and is screwing up your "Continue Watching" list?
Good news! Netflix now allows customers to set a PIN to keep personal profiles locked down. The new feature comes as part of a recent update focusing on advanced parental controls.
The controls that are now available on all Netflix accounts are implemented from the "Parental Control" part of a user's account settings and can be tailored to precise profiles. Here's what you could do with them.

Rating restrictions per profile
The rating restriction setting allows the primary Netflix account holder to restrict the rating of all shows appearing from the profile's account. You may want to remove the whole rated R thing and above disappear without moving away from different children's suggested movies.
This way, if a plan has Netflix with a chosen Netflix Kids profile, the new controls permit the parents to restrict content based totally on ratings similarly.
Or if you're bored, you could play around with the ratings for those who have access to your Netflix account and see what happens if they find out they can't watch anything else than My Little Pony.

Removing titles
Title removal is a significant change in parental controls on Netflix. It allows the primary account holder to specially designate shows and movies that they do not want to show up on the Netflix official page ever, regardless of the rating. These name removals are tied to each profile, so wiping out a show from Netflix Kids may not make it vanish from the account's different profiles.
This function is beneficial for parents who don't want their kids to watch violent movies (does Money Heist count?). The feature is also great for those with exes who continue to use your account years after breaking up. Surely, they'll be devastated if Stranger Things would disappear on their list forever.
PIN protective profiles
This function hearkens back to the old days of password-protected parental locks on TV. Only the primary account holder can set a PIN to forestall others from getting access to it without knowing the 4-digit number.
Any profile on the account may have a PIN, which lets in mother and father to moderate screen time or to avoid accessing the adult account.
The algorithm is also applicable for your lazy roommate who refuses to use their own profile and insists on watching the shows that mess up your carefully curated list.
Disable autoplay episodes
Everyone has fallen into the Netflix lure of intending to watch one more episode and being lulled into submission by using the "Next Episode" countdown when the credit roll. Disabling autoplay to your profile and others places a prevent to this.
Summary
Michelle Parsons, the product supervisor for Netflix Kids, told The Verge that Netflix "hope[s] that these extra controls will help [parents] make the right selections for [the children]."
Since the controls are applicable beyond Kids' accounts, Netflix account holders can now decide for themselves and choose the right people who could access your account.
