Epic Games' Fortnite has rolled out some secret challenges featuring teddy bears and garden gnomes that appear to be at war with each other, although we really can't tell since there's no background story.
Nevertheless, these challenges are a welcome addition to the Fortnite world to add some spice to the game, especially if you have finished all of Deadpool's challenges and the weekly tasks from the main GHOST versus SHADOW storyline.
The Secret Challenges
Anyhow, the secret challenges for this week are separated into two: the "For the Bears" quest and another for "For the Gnomes."
However, Newsweek reported that the gnome telescope challenge is not referenced at the Daily Challenge board, although Fortnite players can accomplish them.
If you haven't finished the "For the Bears" quest, we have recently created a guide for that, including where the secret bunker is located as well as how to trigger the honey pot challenge and their locations.
After the "For the Bears" challenges, you can now proceed to "For the Gnomes" quest, where Fortnite players are tasked to aim telescopes by the gnomes.
The goal is to aim them near the gnomes, and there are five telescopes in total.
It's quite unsure what their purpose is, or if there's a story behind the tasks and if it's actually for the gnomes, or if it's the Teddy Bears' way to spy on them.
According to Forbes, it's also uncertain whether Fortnite players will get more of these challenges next week.
Gnome Telescopes Locations
Nevertheless, all five gnome telescopes are located in the Weeping Woods, so after leaving the secret bunker, you can roam around the vicinity to find the telescopes and help the gnomes aim them.
You can even stumble upon them without a guide.
That said, it's a rather easy task that you can complete in a minute or so, be careful and watch your back as other players are likely finishing the quest in the area as well.
If you need some guidance, however, here are the locations:
- Gnome telescope 1: Northwest part of the Weeping Woods, near the Greasy Graves
- Gnome telescope 2: Northeast of the first location, close to the log
- Gnome telescope 3: Southeast of area two, near the big bridge
- Gnome telescope 4: North of the third location, close to the water
- Gnome telescope 5: Northwest of the cabin
Once all gnome telescopes are aimed near the Garden Gnomes, players will be rewarded with 40,000 XP.
Deadpool Skin is Finally Coming!
Meanwhile, the Deadpool skin is expected to roll out Friday, Apr. 3 finally.
For those who have been rummaging through the Merc's stuff at his Secret Room at HQ, an interactable calendar can be seen above the toilet, showing Deadpool marking the days until Apr. 3, which is not specifically filled ou. However,h it fits our real-world calendar pretty well.
However, fans will have to complete all of Deadpool's challenges first from weeks 1 to 6.
There is still no word as to what challenges will the Merc require before Fortnite players can officially get and don his outfit, but the final challenge will likely be revealed soon.
