If you're in a quarantine lockdown, having a Final Fantasy on your gaming console is the best way to spend your time. Luckily, Square Enix will have an early release on its latest Final Fantasy VII Remake. Unfortunately, gamers in the United States might have to wait for a while.
Whoa! Final Fantasy VII Remake releases early-- not a good news for the US though
On Monday, Mar. 30, the official Twitter page of Final Fantasy VII Remake announces an earlier release of the game to selected countries, including Europe and Australia. Unfortunately, western regions like North America and other parts of the U.S. might have to wait for a while before receiving a copy of the game.
Amid Coronavirus, the latest franchise of Final Fantasy will be on sale in early dates compared to its original release date of Apr. 10. This is the way of Square Enix to facilitate the proper distribution of the game to all countries around the world. According to the tweeted statements, these selected countries like Europe and Australia were chosen since these countries were said to be facing the 'biggest disruptions' due to COVID-19.
"As a result, there is a greater chance that some of you in these regions will now get a copy of the game prior to the worldwide release date of Apr. 10. For other western regions, including the Americas, copies will be shipped this week, and we feel optimistic that most of you will receive the game for launch day," said on the official statement of Square Enix. "However, due to the challenging situation, we cannot provide delivery dates for each country and each retailer."
Square Enix promotes 'no spoiling' for gamers having the early release
Since Australian and European parts of the world will have an early release for Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix begs gamers to stop spoiling the game.
Not everyone will have the same schedule of release for the game. This means that there are huge chances that the latest franchise will have lots of leaks on it even before the official release date on Apr. 10.
"To everyone, we would like to ask one big favor. If you get the game early, please think of others and don't spoil it for them," said the statement. "All our fans and players deserve to experience the game for themselves, and we ask for the support of our dedicated community around the world to ensure that."
